A storyboard assignment for a class hosted by David Chlystek. The following board is a segment from Batman: Mad Love, where Harley Quinn has her first session with the Joker
Harley's Monologue: "It took me nearly three months to set up a session-
-I studied all his tricks and gimmicks-
and felt like I was ready for anything."
The Joker: "You know, my father used to beat me up pretty badly."
Back to Harley: "Anything but that."
Harley stops writing and looks at the Joker in sympathy.
The Joker: "Every time I got out of line-
-BAM, or sometimes, I'd be just sitting there, doing nothing- POW!"
"Pops tended to favor the grape you see."
Harley looks back at Joker with nothing to say.
Joker: "There was only one time where I saw dad really happy-
he took me to the circus when I was seven."
Joker gets up from his seat and begins to walk.
Joker: "Oh, I still remember the clowns-
-running around, dropping their pants."
With the though of the clowns, Joker laughs wholeheartedly.
Harley chuckles in response to his memories. J-Cut of the Joker: "My old man laughed so hard, I thought he bust a gut-
during his sentence, the joker walks in front of Harley.
Joker: -so the very next night, I ran up to meet him in his best Sunday pants around my ankles"
Joker: -Hi Dad! Look at me!!" The joker drops his pants in front of harley.

Harley cries in laughter
Joker: "And then he broke my nose." Harley gasps in response, in shock to what she heard.
The Joker: "But hey, that's the downside of comedy, you're always taking shots from somebody who just doesn't get the joke-
The Joker: -like my dad.
"or Batman."
